Kira wanted to keep her housing spot once her mother and father died, but the Council of Guardians offers to let her stay with them only if she agrees to weave. So, Kira agrees to take after her mother and weave. Then she learns why she and two other kids are used for their talents.
I liked this book. But I did not like how it ended. It was abrupt and I had many questions that were unanswered. The good side is that I loved the idea of the story. I loved that Kira has a gift, she's put to use and as she learns more and more about her new home, she questions why they do what they do.
