VOC: We did Lesson 3 exercises in class and then checked them all together. Afterwards, we watched the bonus videos for anyone who hadn't yet seen them. :-) ("ma-widge ... ma-widge is wut bwings us togezzar, today ...")
LIT: We started Flowers for Algernon. First Ms. A. modeled how she stops and thinks while reading and what her active reading notes look like. Then, table teams tried it out for a page. After some practice time with this, some students shared their active reading notes with the group using our document camera. (And it IS trickier than it looks.) Then teams continued reading part 1; tonight's homework is to finish that section independently.
