This week, we returned from a week and a half of “spring” break. We experimented with a new creative writing idea: picture prompts. So far everyone has enjoyed these. We also started lesson 10 of our vocabulary book and added the words to study stack for one of our homework assignments. We also went over some “yes or no and why” vocabulary questions. We worked on Julius Caesar essays with partners. The day before we learned what the requirements were, and how to complete the graphic organizer. On Thursday we had a Julius Caesar act 2 quiz. We got a progress report back to show how we are doing so far. Can you believe we’re already halfway through the third term?!
GRM: We completed a worksheet, “Writing Clearly with Pronouns.”
LIT: We had a quiz on Act 2 of Julius Caesar and started writing essays on our group’s specific topic.
VOC: We watched one of Ms. Amaral’s amazing and helpful Keynote presentations for lesson 10; and we added our lesson 10 vocab words to Study Stack and color coded them. We went over most of the words in class and everyone was quizzed on a word. Better study those!
WRT: We worked on Julius Caesar essays which we will finish on Tuesday.
